The Martial Arts Club is McHenry County’s most flexible and unique facility for martial arts training and instruction. Boasting over 3,000 square feet of training area, The Martial Arts Club provides instruction in a variety of martial arts disciplines, self-defense classes, and physical fitness programs.

The purpose of The Martial Arts Club is threefold: first to provide a premium facility for martial arts instruction for children, teenagers and adults; second, to provide an open training facility for all members of The Martial Arts Club to use during non-instruction periods; third, to provide a centralized location for networking local martial artists and for organizing local competitive tournaments among the many martial arts schools throughout McHenry County.

The Martial Arts Club currently offers instruction in Tae Kwon Do, Karate, Tang Soo Do, Kempo, and Pilates. Tang Soo Do students may also attend Tae Kwon Do classes. Children Tae Kwon Do students may also attend “Mixed” classes. “Mixed” classes are for students ages 4 and above. Future plans include classes in Tai Chi and Qi Gung for adults and seniors, and Jujitsu, Judo, and Aikido. Tang Soo Do training at The Martial Arts Club includes some cross-training in small circle Jujitsu and Shao Lin Chin Ya techniques; Kempo training at The Martial Arts Club includes some cross-training in Judo.
